Elks Recreation, Inc. is a local non-profit organization based in Santa Maria, CA. Our main office is located at 2325 Skyway Drive, Suite H. Our mission is to promote and create events for our neighbors and friends to gather and celebrate, while also raising funds to
give back to other non-profits in our community.
Our pride and joy here at Elks Recreation, Inc. is the long-standing, fan favorite Santa Maria Elks Rodeo! Each year the Rodeo is a four-day extravaganza held during the first weekend of June at the Event Center.
We have several Rodeo events at each performance, including our PRCA events (bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and bareback riding), WPRA events (barrel racing and breakaway roping), and community events (Jr. breakaway roping, Elks team roping, and mutton bustin').
Our team puts on two holiday events, Haunted Hills and Christmas in the Country. These events are drive-thru experiences where people can drive a holiday-themed route around the Event Center property. These events began in 2020 when we were looking for ways to bring the community together and celebrate during a time of isolation and uncertainty. Due to their initial success and from feedback we received from visitors, we have continued putting on these holiday experiences each year since.
